All Wiser sport teams and players who are learning to play Wiser,
The World Wiser Sport Committee (WWSC) received an e-mail message from the Wise People’s Ball Club in Shenzhen, China. The message mentioned that their club was very large and had a plan of setting up a sum of 500,000 RMB (about US$75,000) as the total prize money to hold a tournament of “Wiser China” in 2014. They were also planning to engage in the training of coaches and other activities.
We hope that all Wiser sport teams have a very clear understanding on the matters mentioned. Holding a tournament in the Xilinhot Prairie in Inner Mongolia is an endeavor that can allow people to participate and enjoy the benefits of playing Wiser. Our Committee will be very supportive of that. However, providing coach training is not what you are able to do. This is because Wiser has very detailed and thorough definitions of rules, special etiquette, marching footwork, and so on. As of now, other than WWSC’s Coach No. 1 and Coach No. 2 who are able to teach the complete rules and etiquette of Wiser, there have been no other people in any country or region in the world who are qualified to do such teaching. Therefore, no affiliated association, club, team, or individual is qualified to train coaches.
Given these facts, it is not surprising that even the name of the sport has been mistaken. Wiser Ball has been called “Wise People’s Ball,” which is incorrect. The word “Wiser” does not mean “Wise People.” It embodies the meaning of using wisdom to nurture and generate higher wisdom. Therefore, its Chinese translation has the meaning of having higher wisdom. In ancient times, it was called upper-class people’s wisdom. The ball game was played by upper-class, wise, respected people associated with or working for the king’s palace. However, now the elder virtuous one transmitted the Wiser ball game solely to the WWSC for us to operate and manage. In abiding by the wish of the elder virtuous one, the WWSC is presenting this sport to the entire world in order to let all people have an equal opportunity to enjoy it and to let everyone become an upper-class, wise, respected person.
Therefore, to learn the official and complete rules of Wiser, you have to ask the World Wiser Sport Committee to arrange teaching by a coach. Then, those who meet the qualifications will be issued coach’s certificates by the WWSC. Take Wiser’s official march footwork and player etiquette, for example; even those wearing the official uniforms did not do that correctly in the video you will watch. Only the clips of footwork by three people and one person separately and the salute made by a person at the end of the video represent the official march steps and etiquette specified in the rules of Wiser. That is just about the walking and saluting. There are many other things that you have to learn. Another example is intercepting a ball. That includes issuing an order by the captain and designating which number of player to conduct the interception. Then, there are many types of techniques of body posture and hand skills involved, such as showing a huge turtle’s paw, a tiny throw from low squatting position, vertically releasing downward, forcefully hitting after a firm step, rolling and touching with a horizontal move, making a ground attack by an air-dropped ball, a light knocking on the ground from a squatting position, intercepting at a high altitude, stopping with a side hit, a head-on collision, and so on. You don’t know any of these yet. Therefore, you still have many things to learn from the official rules. How can you irresponsibly have the idea of training coaches while you still do not have the knowledge yourself? Doing so can only produce mockery and hurt the image of the World Wiser Sport Committee.
To apply to become an organization member of the WWSC, you should first apply to your local government to create a legitimate sport organization and then submit your application to register with the WWSC.
The wish of the elder virtuous one for teaching the Wiser sport is to let all people enjoy the benefits brought by Wiser. Therefore, the Wiser sport is for selflessly serving people and deriving happiness from benefiting others. One cannot charge a fee for teaching people to play Wiser. However, training coaches should charge an appropriate fee. The problem is that, until now, individual countries, associations, clubs, and teams are not qualified to train coaches. Your teams’ efforts to popularize the Wiser sport are recognized by the WWSC as a well-intentioned attempt to benefit the public. The WWSC will earnestly provide help and support to you.
