On January 11, 2014, the World Wiser Sport Committee (WWSC) successfully concluded the Tour of Wiser Referee Training in Asia, which lasted almost one month. During this Asian tour, the training experts dispatched by the WWSC have conducted a total of 23 training sessions in Taiwan, China (Beijing, Shenzhen, Chengdu, and Hangzhou), and Thailand. The total number of trainees attending these sessions is close to one thousand. For the successful completion of this tour of referee training in Asia, WWSC would like to express our most sincere appreciation to the host organizations and many volunteers at the respective countries and regions in Asia for their hard work, dedication, and support. The following table summarizes the number of referee training sessions held and the number of attending trainees at each locality in the countries and regions covered by this tour in Asia.

Beijing, China | 2 | 93 |
Shenzhen, China | 3 | 166 |
Chengdu, China | 2 | 109 |

For all attending trainees during this tour who has passed the test and qualified as referees-in-training, we would like to inform you that the WWSC is processing your certificates now and hope to send them to you shortly. According to the requirements of WWSC referee certification, each referee-in-training must officiate at least 10 Wiser matches within one year after being qualified as a referee-in-training and submit the records of 10 refereed matches to the WWSC for review and assessment. After passing WWSC’s assessment, the referee-in-training will then be promoted and become an official WWSC-certified Grade 4 (Club level) referee.
However, if a referee-in-training does not fulfill the requirement of officiating 10 Wiser matches within one year after the completion of referee training, his or her referee-in-training qualification will expire automatically. To re-acquire the qualification of referee-in-training, he or she must attend and pass WWSC’s Grade 4 Wiser referee training session again.
As announced in WWSC’s notice dated October 11, 2013, the World Wiser Sport Committee will offer the Grade 4 Wiser referee training session during every quarter at its US headquarters. You are welcome to register with WWSC to attend the training.
