Notice of the 4th Quarter of 2014 Wiser Referee Training and Announcement of the Grade 4 (Club Level) Wiser Referee List (11/07/2014)
All Wiser organizations, Wiser sport teams, and players,
(1) The 4th quarter of 2014 Grade 4 Wiser referee training session held by the World Wiser Sport Committee (WWSC) will begin at 8:30 a.m. (PST) on Saturday, December 13, 2014. The training will take place at WWSC’s office located at 150 E. Colorado Blvd., Suite 202, Pasadena, CA 91105, USA.
To register and attend the above referee training session, please fill out attached “2014 Referee Training Registration Form” (Attachment 1) and e-mail the completed form back to info@worldwisersport.org by the registration deadline November 26, 2014 (Wednesday). No late registrations will be accepted!
Due to limited seating at our training facility, the final roster of attendees will be determined based on the date and time of receipt of each individual’s registration form. Every admitted attendee will receive an e-mail notice from the WWSC as the confirmation for attending the referee training. When checking in on the day of training, each attendee is required to bring the printout of the confirmation e-mail and the original signed registration form as the proof of admission.
(2) According to the requirements of WWSC referee certification, each referee-in-training must officiate at least 10 Wiser matches within one year of being qualified as a referee-in-training (the training completion date) and submit the records of 10 refereed matches to the WWSC for review and assessment as soon as possible. After passing WWSC’s assessment, the referee-in-training will then be promoted and become an official WWSC-certified Grade 4 (Club level) referee.
So far, the WWSC has continuously received referee records submitted by many referees-in-training from various countries/regions all over the world. Currently, there are 63 referees-in-training who have passed our assessment and become WWSC-certified Grade 4 (Club level) referees. We would hereby like to express our sincere congratulations to them! A list of WWSC-certified Grade 4 (Club level) referees is provided in Attachment 2 of this notice.
According to WWSC’s referee regulations, if a referee-in-training does not fulfill the requirement of officiating 10 Wiser matches within one year of the referee training date, his or her referee-in-training qualification will expire automatically. To re-acquire the qualification of referee-in-training, he or she must attend and pass WWSC’s Grade 4 Wiser referee training session again.
However, the WWSC has recently received requests made by some referees-in-training. They hope that we can prolong the one-year time period as originally required. After discussion by our referee committee, the WWSC has decided to extend the one-year period by an additional three months in order to allow those referees-in-training to complete 10 Wiser matches as a trainee referee to comply with basic requirements to become a Grade 4 Wiser referee. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. Thank you!
